Chapter 6

Putting Pain in the Past

Nigel

It was hard to believe she was really home. I had missed her and been afraid I might never see her again. Now she was in my arms and she would never be far from me again. We went to the living room where we sat talking and relaxing with friends. I was waiting until enough time had passed that I could kick everyone out and take my mate to bed. Damon and Marissa left quickly. They probably had the same idea that I did since they were newly mated too. Belle had excused herself and went to her room. I think she was avoiding Seddy who sat near her staring at her the entire time like a hungry dog eyeing a juicy steak. Once Belle was gone, Seddy asked where he could sleep. He went to the other cabin to turn in for the night. Once he left, everyone else started leaving.

I was glad I didn’t have to throw anyone out after all. I got a couple wine glasses and Bekka and I enjoyed a glass of wine before we tuned in. We sat on the couch snuggled up talking and kissing until the bottle was gone. Just having her back in my arms made my heart fill with love. I picked her up and carried her off to our bedroom. I placed her on the bed and closed the door. “Take your clothes off.” I instructed her with a voice husky from desire. I stripped my clothes off wasting no time at all.

I joined her on the bed and slid between her spread thighs. This was my favorite place to be. I kissed her like I hadn’t seen her in a hundred years. I stroked her with my hot hands making her squirm under me. The scent of her need hit me hard and I knew I would have to take her hard and fast. As I slid into her welcoming sheath, I knew she was more than ready for me. She whispered encouraging words in my ear making me move faster and harder as I took her. I moved with the speed of a teenager but tried to last longer than one. Bekka moaned and her breath started to catch. She was close so I sped up to give her what she needed. Just a little more and she was screaming my name over and over until she pushed me over the edge as well. I had planned on a long night of loving, but discovered my lovely mate had fallen asleep. I should have known better than to give her more than one glass of wine. I smiled to myself. My lovely mate was a lightweight as far as liquor was concerned. Even though it didn’t effect wolves, never underestimate the power of the mind. She felt the effects her mind was used to expecting. It was also possible that she had crashed under all the stress of her rescue.

Since she was already asleep I settled down with her in my arms and I slept as well.
